Hello amazigh,

Probably you have used "Hide Folder" feature in ROhos Disk - it allows to hide Applications Data Folders ( like Firefox, Skype, Chrome) into encrypted disk - thus apply a strong encrypption and protection for them.

If yo have then Uninstalled Rohos Disk - you have stopped access to FireFox data folder (it became Hidden). But please note Uninstalling Rohos does not removes Encrypted Disk Container files.

you need to :
- Install RohosDisk again
- Open your encrypted partition container file (connect it to drive letter)
- UnHide Firefox profile folder (by using Rohos Disk - Hide Folder - UnHide)
- disconnect Rohos disk
- verify that Firefox is able to start
- uninstall rohos
- delete rohos disk container file

I am using Windows 7 x64 with Rohos Logon Key 2.9 with a Yubikey to login. I would like to be able to use the OTP functionality of the Yubikey, but it currently does not work.

If I leave the address boxes in the YubiKey OTP validation settings panel empty, I can use the Yubikey to log in.(without OTP verification, of course) However, I can not seem to get Rohos to authenticate the 44 key OTP with Yubicos servers when the Remote OTP Verification URL is entered. I have tried the following addresses:
api.yubico.com/wsapi/verify?id=370&otp=%s
https://api.yubico.com/wsapi/verify?id=370&otp=%s
67.23.37.171/wsapi/verify?id=370&otp=%s

I know that these addresses work properly because I can manually enter the OTP and receive an authorization. There are no firewalls or antivirus systems blocking Rohos or the Yubico servers.
Using Wireshark, I can see that Rohos is sending the OTP to the Yubico servers and is receiving a reply.

This is certainly a bug with Rohos because every other program I use with OTP functions properly. This bug needs to be fixed before I can even consider a purchase of this product. Without OTP verification, it is almost useless to me.

---
There is another massive bug in this software that must be fixed.
If I have OTP authentication disabled, I can log in without entering the correct PIN.
I can enter an incorrect PIN then touch my Yubikey to enter an OTP and I will be logged in.
I should not be able to enter an incorrect PIN and be allowed access!
I have not tested this with OTP enabled, as it does not currently authenticate properly to the Yubico servers.

There are two things that should be fixed before I buy this-
-YubiKey OTP Validation to Remote Yubico servers
-Proper verification of PIN codes

Thank you for your time.

Hello Rohos people,
I've got the same problem/question as 'mindlessmuppet' here.
I downloaded and tried your Rohos Login software for OSX Lion, installed it, it really didn't work well and was buggy so I subsequently uninstalled it - Yes, by following your uninstall instructions and using the uninstaller.
However, since then my screen lock dialog has reverted to the ugly, old-style (pre-lion) box and I can't find any way to get back the Lion one. I am 100% certain that this has happened as a result of your software making a system modification.
Seeing as you don't seem to understand what the dialog we're referring to is, it's the one that is presented for example after you exit from the screensaver (if you have password protect turned on).

For visual reference, it used to look like this (Lion default): http://www.macgasm.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/lion-lock-screen.jpg
And now it looks like this (pre-lion style): http://vadimk.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Photo0055.jpg
Unfortunately thats the best photo I could find - it's pretty much a black screen with that password box.

Hopefully you now know what our problem is - could you please tell us how to get our computers back to the way they were?

Much appreciated in advance,
Liam

Hello,
Have you hide Firefox profile as described in the article I have sent you previously (Hide folder option)? If yes, you can try to restore your Firefox profile, by re-install Rohos Disk Encryption and recover rohos disk file *rdi. Read how to recover Rohos Disk-http://www.rohos.com/2008/10/how-to-repair-rohos-disk/#more-160.
In case, you haven't hide you browser profile it is not Rohos Disk issue.

This is not the answer to the issue. I'm talking about the screen lock after you login to the system and the system is locked manually or via the screensaver and you then try to get back into the system. The unlock screen that is presented is from OS X systems previous 10.7.

Thanks for the response, but this doesn't address the issue. The issue is related to the screen lock after you are logged into an account and you lock the screen manually or via the screen saver and then return to the system. In this case the screen is black and displays a dialog box asking for a username and password, which is normally found on OS X installations previous to OS X 10.7. I've uninstalled the software as instructed and this behaviour remains, which is not as the system was previous to the install.

How do I get the normal OS X 10.7 lock screen back to the default?

This "old style" password dialog box after uninstalling the beta software is occurring for me as well. I've read Lyuda's response to your post and tried to install the product and uninstall it again, but the same "old style" behaviour continues. Is there a fix for this to get back the correct Lion screen, without the application installed?

I've tried the Lion beta and for various reasons I've uninstalled the software using the included uninstallation application. The software appears to have been removed, but the default Lion lock screen appears to still be replaced with the classic pre-lion screen. What is the process to re-instate the correct OS X Lion lock screen that displays the user icon, etc?

I use windows 7 home premium.
Oh boy, that is a bummer not to have the computer protected anymore in safe mode. I think that is even more important to fix then the icon issue. Since Rohos log-On (with Safe Mode protection) can't run with Face log-On the computer is actually wide open for anybody that just knows a little about computers. Please fix this ASAP. Thanks Mark

Thank you very much for your feedback. What Windows do you use?
>>Does Face Log-On also protect the computer in "Save Mode'?
No, we haven't tested and integrated this option.
What about time out we will implement this feature in future.
>>Face Log-On "Hi-Jacked" the Disk-Encryption icon in the taskbar.
We will fix the issue asap, thank you for your notice.

Update; I just found out Face Log-On "Hi-Jacked" the Disk-Encryption icon in the taskbar. When I go to the Icon in the task-bar it says now Face Log-On connects or disconnects the disks, not Rohos Disk-Encryption anymore.
So Face Log-On and Disk-Encryption from Rohos must have a connection somewhere. Remember I installed Disk-Encryption first and it worked as Disk-Encryption, then I installed Face-Log-On and now in the tray it says Face Log-On. A soon as I double-click the tray Icon it opens the Disk-Encryption window to connect or disconnect disks but the message comes up Face Log-On connects or disconnects the disk. Something to look into it. Thanks

Hi lyuda,
I know you know your program better then me, unfortunately something is wrong in this particular situation. I have a screenshot of the desktop if you like to look at it. I did uninstall Rohos Log-on (see my initial post) but nothing helped. Since I had the weekend to play with and I have a few backups from different times of my C and D drive, I restored my computer. The one restore I used had Rohos included, unfortunately after uninstalling Rohos Log-On, Face recognition still complained. and got the same error message. Then I installed a version where I had no Rohos log-On and no Rohos Disk-Encryption installed. I was very hesitant of doing that since I felt I could loose 500gig of hidden partition.
Since this was a full backup from March 2011 I updated windows, firewall, Antivirus first, made a new updated full backup then installed Rohos Disk-Encryption first and I got my hidden parts back. :)
Now I installed Face Log-On and sure enough Face Log-On works.
It cost me almost a day to setup the computer again to the state I like it since the backup was old but then I needed to do that anyway. :) Glad I kept a older "clean" backup version.
Conclusion: I don't know where the hang-up is, my best guess Rohos Log-On is not uninstalling completely clean and Face-Recognition gets hang-up on a file or a Registry-Key.
Face-Recognition seems to work great, I like it, much better then the first time around. I took some pictures at night with just a Desk-Lamp, worked. Daytime, took additional pictures and it works. Faster too. Good job.
Does Face Log-On also protect the computer in "Save Mode'?
Now I need just the same option possibilities that Rohos Log-On has in the (Options) for the USB key and a computer Time-Out too. :)
Comes to think off, it would be nice to be able to lock the computer, yet, in case I make a download, it would show the Desktop with whatever is going on too, except nobody is able to change anything unless he/she knows the password, has the USB key or has to show his/her face to unlock the computer.
Ohhh boy, here are coming the requests already. :) :)
Of course if you implement all that ( and I hope you do) then Rohos Log-On is obsolete. I for one would be willing to pay more for the additional options to Face Log-On. Thanks Mark

Hello,
Rohos Logon Key and Rohos Face Logon can't work in the same time in one computer. When you launch Rohos Face Logon and the window may be blank, please press F5.
Rohos Disk Encryption has not connection to these two programs. Please, open Rohos Face Logon - enter Setup USB key, and press delete USB key. That should help.

Hi,
I just bought Facerecognition software since you added the USB key possibility to it. Installing Facerecognition it realizd that Rohos Logon is installed and told me to uninstall it. I actually wanted to use Revo uninstaller but Revo told me it may also uninstall some parts of my Rohos Diskencryption and I can't have that. There is a 500gig hidden partition on the drive, can't loose that.
I uninstalled Rohos Logon going into "Start", Rohos, uninstall Rohos Logon. To make sure it will not touch the Disk Encryption part. The uninstall worked but after installing FaceLogon, Face logon crashes. It starts to tell me to register faces, click on it and then it freezes coming up with the message "Rohos Log On Key" has stopped working. I don't know if it refers to the old Rohos Log on or the Face-logon. I run also CCleaner and NT regopt first to clean the registry after uninstalling Rohos Log-On and before installing FaceLog-On. It may have still some leftover reg keys, or it may complain because some reg keys are in use with Disk encryption.
Appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hi, yesterday I loaded mini drive to create an encrypted partition on a 2GB memory stick. Half way through the disk encryption process we had a power cut. Checking back today the memory stick no longer works. Windows makes a ping noise when i plug it in, but it is not listed anywhere in windows or the rohos software.
Has anyone had the happen before and have a solution for it ????

I installed version 2.4 Beta on 10.7.2 and it seems to be working fine, except on the first restart after setting up my usb key the computer locked up right before the login screen would have loaded. I left it for 10 mins with the apple logo on the screen waiting to see if the login screen would load but it didn't. I force restarted the computer and its been fine since.

I love the software keep up the good work!
