Rohos Logon Key server version

Rohos Logon Key Server Version setup includes USB Key manager tools that allow to set up and manage USB tokens and Rohos Logon in corporate networks.

Server edition is intended for Administrator’s workstation only. It has built in USB Key Management utility (create and manage USB keys) and Rohos Remote Configuration utility (setup Rohos Logon Key settings on the computers joined to Active Directory). Rohos Logon Key integrates into Windows Terminal Services login screen (Windows XP/ 2003/ Vista/ 2008/ Seven). It works by adding two-factor authentication level to existing authentication infrastructure.

Rohos USB Key Management utility.

If you have 10 or more users in your organization, you can use Rohos USB Key Admin management utility. Please, note that Server edition is intended for Administrator’s workstation only. It allows creating and editing logon profiles on USB token.

How it works:

USB Key Management utility makes a part of it (create and manage USB keys).

Note: Without license keys been added the program creates Demo Keys.

Plug in USB token.
Press Add… button to create login profile.
In order to change USB Key type you need to install Rohos Logon Key also.

Now you may create and manage USB keys from Admin account.

Centralized License management. Automatically uses license keys list to create pre-licensed USB keys to simplify license management. With Pre-licensed USB keys you dont need to enter license key on each client PC where Rohos Logon is installed.
Back up/Restore operations
Allows to Backup and restore USB Key content (logon profile); Utility automatically names backup files and uses backup’s folder.
PIN code security
Set up a PIN code for USB Key protection;
Roaming profiles
Create and use roaming logon profiles on a USB Key. This will allow you to login into any computer on the network.
Copy/Paste operations
Allows to copy/paste logon profiles between USB Keys.
Setup USB Key for Remote Desktop Login (RDP)
Copy Rohos Remote Login component into USB stick. Use this feature if you don’t want to install Rohos into any computer you login from.
Setup OTP tokens (Yubikey, Umikey) for Remote Desktop Login.

This Utility is FREE for orders of 20 and more licenses.

User profile on USB key:

Please note that you should correctly set up user profile on USB Key according to you network environment. You can do it with User profile Editor dialog:

Authentication into Windows Domain or Active Directory. Using a client computer:
Domain field should be: “local computer name” (without quotes). User name field could be also:
- UPN format is supported (username@domain.com)
- “Domain_name\User_name” format is supported for Windows Vista
Authentication into via Remote Desktop session (via Windows 2000/2003 terminal server):
Domain field should be: “Terminal Server computer name” (without quotes);
Domain field may be empty. This allows to use this profile for authentication into any computer/domain or remote desktop;

Manage the list of USB Keys

This dialog allows to review the list USB Keys and user accounts associated with the key.

Rohos Remote Config Utility

This Utility allows the Administrator of Active Directory changing Rohos Logon Key settings on remote workstations.

Allows to Create the list of computers where Rohos Logon Key is installed
Edit Rohos Logon settings on a remote computer
Allows to edit logon profiles on a USB key connected to remote computer

System requirements for Rohos Remote Config utility:

“Remote Registry” service should be enabled on client workstation.
Rohos Logon Key should be installed on the client workstation.

How to try RDP login by USB Key:

You should have Windows XP Pro/ Windows 2003/ Windows Vista or Windows 2008 Server as your Terminal Server computer to try it.

Steps to take:

Install Rohos Logon Key on the Terminal Server computer (needs restart). Open the program and set up USB key. 100% safe
Installing Rohos on a Server computer is 100% safe. Rohos does not replace MsGINA.dll (or NWGina.dll, etc.) authentication component like other ‘logon’ softwares do. This ensures that your Windows Server will be stable.
Open Rohos Logon Key > Configure Options and ensure that Windows Logon model is:
-”Typical Windows login (msgina.dll) if you have Windows XP/ 2003
-”Rohos Credential Provider” if you have Windows Vista/2008
Open the program and set up USB key.
Install Rohos Logon Key also on any client computer where you RDC from. No need for restart.

MSI Package

Network Administrators can use MSI installation package to rollout pre-configured and registered (licensed) Rohos Logon Key software over all AD workstations/clients.
