USB Key security
Rohos Logon allows to use any USB flash drive with on-board serial number to be used as a security token. Rohos does not store any information on USB flash drive, thus allowing to use even non-Mac compatible USB sticks.
Protect your Key with PIN code to prevent unauthorized logon with your USB Key.
Two-factor authentication with PIN code
Your key to Mac may be protected by a PIN code. Some users say - PINs are just like passwords why do we need it for?
By setting up PIN code you protect USB Key from somebody who can use it for logon into your Mac without your permission. After you plug in USB Key - Rohos Logon will ask user to enter PIN in order to log in or unlock your Mac.
- PIN code works for USB flash drives, Bluetooth enabled mobile phones and Touchatag
- Security benefits: After 3 wrong attempts to enter PIN (it can be a short one, e.g. 1234) the USB Key will be blocked. It will not be possible to use it as an access key
How Rohos Logon works
Rohos Logon remembers selected USB flash drive that user has chosen for protection. From that moment when USB drive gets disconnected from Mac - Rohos Logon immediately locks Mac desktop or does nothing.
Depending on a system option “Require password to wake this computer from sleep or screen saver” Rohos Logon will use screen-saver to lock your Mac or its own lock window.
If you don’t want to keep your single USB port busy with connected USB Key choose ‘Nothing’ for USB Key removal action.
Rohos Logon user interface allows you to quickly turn ON or OFF USB key protection.

Known issues:
1. During screensaver unlock Rohos may fault auto-entering password.
Solution: the cursor should be in the password area.
2. What if I lost my Key? how to log in?
Solutions:
a) by default, the program doesn’t disable regular password-based login b) preliminary make a second USB Key. Find Rohos icon in the status area and choose Add USB Key command.
